I heard that sparrows are hardly kept as pets because they like free flight time and cannot be caged alone. However, they can survive in urban, which become a beautiful view of our city. Most of my previous works were based on urban buildings. This time, I want to depict the fun side of urban life through the perspective of sparrows.

“when we were small, we liked to head to the upper deck when we got on the bus. We were desperate to get the front row seats and excited by the view outside the bus windows. When the weather was bad, condensation turned the windows into canvases. Our fingers were our paint brushes. We made our very first picture and had fun playing noughts and crosses”

‘Place To Place’, a showcase of two young Hong Kong artists using works on paper to explore themes of place changes and subsequent upheaval. Moving homes can be an intensely emotional experience – the hope and excitement about a new beginning, the challenge of moving on to a new life-stage or environment, the fear of loss of friends and family, the anxiety about change and the future.
